About DGCA

Directorate General of Civil Aviation is an attached office of the Ministry of Civil Aviation.



The Directorate General of Civil Aviation is the regulatory body in the field of Civil Aviation primarily dealing with safety issues. Private Pilot Rating Course

The Private Pilot Certification Course will be the student's first introduction to modern aviation. Applicant will receive a minimum of 35 hours of flight training and 36 hours of ground and/or classroom instruction. Ground school training includes aerodynamics and the principals of flight; aircraft systems; meteorology and weather data services; airspace; air traffic control; radio communications; Federal Aviation Regulations; aero medical factors; aeronautical charts and associated publications; aircraft performance and limitations; basic and radio navigation; night flying procedures; flight planning; flight maneuvers; and ground operations. Flight training syllabus includes preflight procedures; airport operations; takeoffs and landings; performance maneuvers; ground reference maneuvers; navigation and cross-country operations; basic instrument maneuvers; stalls; emergency operations; night operations; and postflight briefing.



Certified Flight Instructor



The Certified Flight Instructor Certification Course qualifies you to instruct in single engine aircraft. This course of training is a highly structured and comprehensively designed to prepare commercial pilots for their role as flight instructors. __Applicant will receive 15 hours of flight training (Dual 10 hrs. non-complex - Dual 5 hrs. complex) and 130 hours of classroom instruction (Directed Study 90 - Ground Instruction 40) _Ground school training includes all of the subject areas included in the Private and Commercial program including; the learning process; elements of effective teaching; student evaluation; course development; lesson planning; psychology of learning; night training techniques; classroom instruction techniques; maintaining student records; and authorizations and limitations. Flight training syllabus includes performance and analysis of standard training procedures and maneuvers as outlined in the relevant FAA Practical Test Standards; stall awareness; spin entry; spin recovery techniques; preparation of student plans; evaluation of student flight performance; effective preflight and post flight instruction; analysis and correction of common student pilot flight errors; and flight instructor responsibilities



Instrument Rating Course



The Instrument Rating Course is the ultimate asset as a Pilot. Development of the skills and other tools are necessary to effectively command an aircraft by reference to flight instruments alone. Applicant will receive 36 hours of flight training and 36 hours of classroom instruction



Certified Instrument Instructor



The Instrument Flight Instructor Certification Course is the ultimate asset as an instructor. It offers another source of income and increases your professionalism. Development of the skills and other tools are necessary to effectively instruct students seeking an instrument rating. Applicant will receive 15 hours of flight training (Dual 10 hrs. non-complex - Dual 5 hrs. advanced flight training device [simulator]) and 40 hours of classroom instruction (Directed Study 25 - Ground Instruction 15). Ground school training includes preflight preparation and procedures; aircraft systems related to IFR operations; meteorology; aircraft flight instruments and navigation equipment principals of operation; air traffic control clearances and procedures; holding procedures; flight planning and the IFR environment; IFR charts and publications; flight by reference to instruments; electronic navigation aids including VOR, NDB, DME; instrument approach procedures including VOR, NDB, ILS, GPS, LOC; emergency operations; advanced navigation systems including RNAV; and post-flight procedures. Flight training syllabus includes performance and analysis standard training procedures and maneuvers; effective analysis of correction of common student flight errors; flight instructor responsibilities; and certifying procedures



Commercial Pilot Rating Course

The Commercial Certification Course - Single Engine is for those students who require commercial pilot privileges in single engine aircraft only. Applicant will receive 120 hours of flight training as follows; (Dual 40 hrs. non-complex, Dual 10 hrs. complex, and Solo 5 hrs. complex. Solo 65 hrs. non-complex and 36 hours of classroom instruction (Directed Study 35 - Ground Instruction 30). Ground school instruction includes preflight preparation and procedures; complex aircraft procedures; complex aircraft systems; advanced multiengine aerodynamics; airplane performance limitations; Federal Aviation Regulations; stall awareness; aeronautical charts and publications; radio aids to VFR navigation; meteorology and weather data services; national airspace system; radio communications; air traffic control; aero medical factors; commercial operations; passenger and freight loading; night maneuvers; and ground operations. Flight training syllabus includes preflight procedures; airport operations; maximum performance takeoffs and landings; maximum performance flight maneuvers; ground reference maneuvers; navigation and cross country flying; slow flight and stalls; complex aircraft operation; commercial flight maneuvers; emergency procedures; night operations; and post-flight briefing



Multi Engine Instructor



The Certified Flight Instructor Certification Course qualifies you to instruct in multi engine aircraft. This course of training is a highly structured and comprehensively designed to prepare commercial pilots for their role as multi engine flight instructors. Applicant will receive 15 hours of flight training.



Multi- Engine Rating



The multi engine pilot is in ever increasing demand. Our Multi-Engine Course is designed to make you a competent multi-engine pilot with major emphasis on proficiency and flying a multi engine aircraft safely. Applicant will receive 15 hours of flight instruction in multi-engine aircraft and 10 hours in the advanced flight training device (flight simulator), and 10 hours of ground and or classroom training. Ground school training includes preflight preparation and procedures; aerodynamics; complex aircraft systems; airplane performance and limitations; aero medical factors; stall and spin awareness; flight maneuvers; emergency procedures; simulated emergency procedures and limitations; and ground operations. Flight training syllabus includes the performance and analysis of standard flight training procedures
